"Zara Angeline is more than just a promising debut artist — she’s a storyteller in tune with the beauty and pain of growing up, loving deeply, and holding on to hope"

- Rotate Magazine

Like the rising dawn, Zara Angeline’s musical world is characterised by hope, rebirth and beauty. Combining sensitive, poetic lyricism with pure, expressive vocals, Zara carves out a sonic safe space where pains are put to rest and faith can take flight.

In love with heartfelt storytellers like ABBA and Taylor Swift, Zara began writing songs from the age of nine. Her signature thoughtful and meaning-seeking approach to life and songwriting started to take shape at seventeen, listening to Leonard Cohen, reading the poetry of Rumi and Shelley, and watching the sun rise and fall every night, from her garden. Driven by a need to understand and make peace with the world, Zara’s music looks to grapple with how to find light amidst the inevitable melancholy of human life.

Zara released her debut single ‘I Met You In June’ in August 2025, with its accompanying music video. Mesmerized described the song as “a deliciously evocative slice of gentle, blissful pop prowess”, characterised by “Angeline’s dreamy, hypnotic vocals and her heightened ‘fairytale’ quality”. Zara has performed the song at Phoenix Arts Club, Soho, The Star, Shoreditch and The Cathedral Gardens, St Albans. It recently made the Top 10 in the 18-22 category of Song Academy's Young Songwriter 2026 Competition, judged by music industry professionals like Tom Odell and Callum Scott, sponsored by Youtube Music and PRS.

Zara is currently in the process of recording her next single and working on the longer term project of her first EP, revolving around coming of age existential questions on the nature of love, loss and living well.
